Description
Bad Hair Day was grown from seed and produces a short 2′ high plant is best alone or along low borders or in pots. It tends to get dwarfed in the garden among larger varieties but is a strong grower and produces a multi petaled hybrid between decorative and ruffled star shape. It is a pretty deep purple with undertones of fuchsia on a dark stem. When I named it, obviously I was crawling under dahlia plants which made my hair into a bit of a mess, which caused some hilarity when I emerged with my hair in all directions, sort of like the petals on this flower!
